The Vietnam Association of Neurology and Electrophysiology Medicine (VANEM) conducted a series of training programs in 2016 aimed at updating the knowledge and skills of medical professionals in the field of neurology and electrophysiology. The training programs were held on different dates and locations in Vietnam, and prominent medical professionals from various parts of the world were invited to share their expertise.
On March 12, 2016, a training program in Ho Chi Minh City focused on “Small Fiber Neuropathy and Electrodiagnosis.” The program featured presentations by renowned medical professionals such as Dr. Umapathi, the former Head of the Department of Neurology at the National Neuroscience Institute of Singapore, Dr. Le Tu Quoc Tuan from Trieu An General Hospital, and Dr. Vo Nguyen Ngoc Trang from the International Neurology Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
Another training program was held on June 18, 2016, in Hanoi, which focused on “Application of Electrodiagnosis in Clinical Practice” and marked the launch of the VANEM chapter in the northern region. The program featured presentations by medical professionals such as Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Cong from the International Neurology Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Nguyen Le Trung Hieu from the Neurology Department of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City, and Dr. Nguyen The Luan from Tien Giang General Hospital.
On November 12, 2016, VANEM conducted another training program in Ho Chi Minh City, which focused on “Electrodiagnosis and Movement Disorders.” The program featured presentations by medical professionals such as Dr. Tran Ngoc Tai from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Tran Thanh Hung from the Neurology Department of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City, and Dr. Hoang Thi To Uyen from the Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
