The VANEM Association’s upcoming scientific event on neurology and electrophysiology will be held on December 19, 2021. Associate Professor Nguyễn Hữu Công MD PhD and Lê Văn Tuấn MD PhD will chair the event. The event will feature nine presentations, including topics such as diagnosing and treating epilepsy, diagnosing sleep disorders related to COVID, and diagnosing nerve damage caused by laughing gas abuse.
The first presentation will be given by Lê Văn Tuấn MD PhD, who will discuss diagnosing and treating epilepsy according to the 2017 ILAE classification. The second presentation will be presented by Trần Thanh Hùng MD Ms, who will talk about diagnosing and treating nerve disorders through electrophysiological techniques.
The third presentation will be given by Professor Dương Quý Sỹ MD PhD, who will discuss diagnosing and treating sleep disorders related to COVID. The fourth presentation will focus on the neurological effects of meat poisoning and will be presented by Nguyễn Văn Tuận MD PhD and Lê Tự Quốc Tuấn MD PhD.
The fifth presentation will be presented by Cao Thiên Tượng MD specialist 2, who will discuss whether certain nerve disorders can be diagnosed through MRI imaging. The sixth and seventh presentations will focus on case studies, with Phan Hoàng Phương Khanh presenting the first case of anti-HMGCR muscle disease diagnosed in Vietnam and Nguyễn Phương Nga discussing a case of nerve damage caused by laughing gas abuse.
The eighth presentation will be given by Vũ Thị Thúy MD Specialist 1, who will discuss diagnosing and treating Hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES). Finally, the event will end with a presentation on the relationship between COVID vaccines and nerve disorders, given by Lê Tự Quốc Tuấn MD PhD.
The scientific event will be held online and will include a discussion session. The event will also have the election of the new VANEM Association Executive Committee for the 2021-2023 term.
