The Vietnamese Association of Neurology and Electromyography (VANEM) held its second scientific activities program on June 24th, 2017, at the Fortuna Hotel in Ba Dinh, Hanoi. The event was focused on cognitive decline after stroke and neuromuscular diseases, with a distinguished lineup of speakers and attendees.
The program was chaired by Associated Professor Nguyễn Chương, Chairman of the Vietnam Neurology Association, with the participation of Professor Lê Đức Hinh, former Chairman of the Vietnam Neurology Association. The event included several informative and engaging presentations by experts in the field, covering various topics related to cognitive decline and neuromuscular diseases.
The event started with a welcome address by Associated professor Nguyễn Chương MD PhD, followed by a presentation on “Vascular Cognitive Impairment” by Associated Professor Nguyễn Hữu Công MD PhD. Professor Lê Văn Thính MD spoke about “New Horizons in the Management of Cognitive Decline after Stroke,” followed by a coffee break.
After the break, the program continued with two more presentations. First, Lê Thị Khánh Vân MD, Ph.D. discussed the diagnosis and treatment of Dravet Syndrome, followed by Võ Nguyễn Ngọc Trang MD, Ph.D.’s presentation on Cryoglobulin and peripheral neuropathy. Finally, Professor Umapathi gave a talk on the latest treatments for neuromuscular diseases, followed by a Q&A session.
The event concluded with a lunch buffet, where attendees could network and exchange ideas with their peers. Overall, the Second Meeting of VANEM’s Scientific Activities Program was a great success, providing valuable insights and information to all attendees.
