The Neurology Training Program for Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Diseases will be held from December 6 to December 9, 2019, at Military Hospital 175, 786 Nguyen Kiem, Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City. The VANEM Association and the Department of Neurology at Military Hospital 175 organize the program. The training program will focus on diagnosing and treating neuromuscular diseases through clinical case studies and analysis of nerve conduction and electromyography.
The training program will be divided into two parts. The first part (December 6 to December 8, 2019) will focus on diagnosing neuromuscular diseases through clinical case studies, particularly nerve conduction studies, and electromyography. The second part (December 9, 2019) will cover the basics of muscle biopsy, with small groups of three Doctors (Neurology, Pathology, and Surgery) learning how to perform a muscle biopsy, preserve tissue, and use basic dyes and stains.
Associated Professor Kalpana Prasad, a renowned National Neuroscience Institute of Singapore expert, will lead the training program. The program is free of charge and is open to all neurologists working in the field. However, due to limited availability, interested participants must register early to secure their spot. The program promises an excellent opportunity for neurologists to enhance their knowledge and skills in neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic diseases.
