The Vietnamese Neurological Association (VAN) is saddened to announce the passing of their Chairman, Associated Professor Nguyen Chuong, on February 4th at the age of 85. He passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
PGS Nguyen Chuong was a highly respected figure in the field of neurology and was known for his contributions to the development of the specialty in Vietnam. He had a long and distinguished career, having served as the Head of the Neurology Department at Bach Mai Hospital and the President of the Vietnam Medical Association. He was also a founding member of the VAN and served as its Chairman for many years.
To pay their respects, a funeral service will be held from 9 am to 12 pm on February 6th (Sunday, February 10th, 2019) at the Bach Mai Hospital Funeral Home. Following the service, Associated Professor Nguyen Chuong will be cremated at the Hoan Vu Crematorium, and his ashes will be laid to rest in his hometown of Thanh Cao, Thanh Oai, Hanoi.
The VAN wishes to extend its deepest condolences to Associated Professor Nguyen Chuong’s family and colleagues during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and we will never forget his contributions to the field of neurology in Vietnam.
