VANEM (Vietnam Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine) is a professional and social organization established voluntarily by doctors, pharmacists, and technicians.
- It is a place that brings together doctors, pharmacists, technicians, and science graduates from multiple disciplines, such as neurology, neurosurgery, neuroscience, psychology, pediatrics, orthopedics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, physiology, sports medicine, functional recovery, medical technology, etc. VANEM provides educational opportunities that members may need help finding in other medical associations.
- The association’s ultimate goal is to equip its members with the knowledge and necessary skills to enhance healthcare services for all patients in Vietnam in need.
- VANEM operates based on principles of democracy, equality, transparency, and non-political affiliation.
- The association operates on a non-profit basis and self-funds its activities.
- All association activities comply with the Constitution, Vietnamese law, and the VANEM Charter.

- Gathering and uniting members; organizing and coordinating activities among members for the collective benefit of the organization.
- We are disseminating and improving specialized knowledge to members to enhance diagnostic and treatment skills for all patients in Vietnam.
- We are focusing on training young healthcare professionals with deep knowledge in the field to serve the country long term.
- Addressing outstanding professional issues in the field, gradually developing and standardizing management and treatment solutions for neuromuscular disorders to make recommendations to the relevant authorities in the Vietnamese healthcare industry.
